Field Notes, reviews, range reports, and gear notes on this site describe my own firsthand experience with firearms, optics, ammunition, and ranges. They are opinions formed in specific sessions with specific equipment, and they are written in the first person on purpose.

Your results may differ. A firearm that suits me may not suit you, and an impression from one range trip is not a universal product claim. I update notes when my conclusions change.

Ranges named or pictured on this site are independent facilities. They set their own rules, eligibility, and availability, and they do not sponsor or endorse MyRangeBuddy.

Firearm laws vary by jurisdiction

Firearm, ammunition, transport, and carry laws differ by state, county, and municipality, and they change over time. Participants and readers are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to them and for confirming current requirements with the appropriate authority.

MyRangeBuddy does not issue licenses or permits, does not administer or certify New Jersey carry qualification, and does not conduct law-enforcement or government certification. Services offered are firearm instruction, firearms familiarization, guided and supervised range experiences, and range sessions.
